Manhattan High boys’ golf finished ninth as a team on Monday at the Topeka Country Club Invitational.

The Indians put up a team score of 334, two strokes ahead of Emporia and Washburn Rural. Blue Valley North finished first among the 18 teams competing with a 308.

Junior Tate Reid led the way, finishing 13th with a 6-over par 77.

Sophomore Jackson Powers placed 41st with a 13-over 84, senior Owen Kandt finished 52nd with a 15-over 86 and senior Gage Hull and sophomore Cade Cochran finished 55th and 56th respectively with a 16-over 87.

The Indians will look to rebound on Friday at Hutchinson, their final meet before league on Monday.
