Manhattan High’s Tess Henry and Blue Valley-Stilwell midfielder Isabella Vaz compete for the ball during their match Saturday, April 27, 2024, at Bishop Stadium. The Indians fell to the Tigers, 3-0.

Manhattan High girls’ soccer finished their stretch of six road trips in their last seven games, winning at Wichita Northwest on Tuesday and Topeka-Hayden on Thursday.

Full stats were unavailable for both games as of press time.

The Indians (9-4-1) had their first overtime game of the season in Wichita, taking down the Grizzlies (8-5-0) 2-1 in the extra period.

Manhattan then recorded their fifth shutout of the season with a 3-0 win at Hayden (5-6-1).

With the wins, MHS sits fifth overall in the West Regional with just two games left in the regular season. They still are in position to jump up to a top 4 seed, meaning they would be able to host both regional games leading up to the state quarterfinals.

The Indians return home to host Great Bend at 6:45 p.m. Monday.
