A local chiropractor who was found guilty of sexual battery of a patient in April was released earlier this week from house arrest.

Kenyon Erickson, who owned Erickson Chiropractic in Aggieville, was sentenced to 12 months in prison on May 21.

Sexual battery, a Class A person misdemeanor, is when a person unlawfully and without consent touches another person with intent to arouse or satisfy sexual desires.

The court allowed Erickson to serve his sentence at home. On Monday, Judge Grant Bannister gave Erickson probation for the remaining nine months of his sentence.

Erickson was found guilty of the misdemeanor charge in April after a one-day bench trial. He also was required to pay a $2,500 fine.
