Former K-State stars Ben Sinnott (football) and Sydney Bolding (volleyball) announced their engagement on Wednesday on their respective social media.

Less than two weeks removed from a marriage between two former Kansas State student-athletes, another Wildcat couple is beginning their lifelong commitment.

All-time Wildcat tight end Ben Sinnott proposed to Sydney Bolding, former All-Big 12 middle blocker, as the couple announced their engagement on July 17.

Sinnott, a 2022-23 All-Big 12 first team member, is tied for the most receiving touchdowns by a tight end in program history with 10 scores. He ranks third at the position for receptions (82) and fourth in receiving yards (1,138).

A former walk-on from Waterloo, Iowa, Sinnott was an early entrant into the NFL after his junior season at K-State. He was drafted in the second round by the Washington Commanders, becoming the second tight end selected in the draft.

Bolding, a three-year member of the volleyball program, capped off her graduate season with her second-consecutive All-Big 12 second team nod. A native of Pickens, South Carolina, Bolding transferred to K-State after two years at Jacksonville with multiple ASUN Conference honors.

She became the first player in school history drafted to the Pro Volleyball Federation as the Grand Rapids Rise selected her in the second round. She was the No. 11 overall pick in the league’s inaugural draft.

The couple announced, “Forever with my best friend, can’t wait to make a lifetime of memories.”

Their decision follows former Wildcat kicker Ty Zentner and former women’s basketball guard Emilee Ebert tying the knot on July 6. The two Kansans hailed from Topeka and Frankfort, respectively, before connecting in Manhattan.

For Bolding and Sinnott, the Little Apple acted as a catalyst in bringing two individuals together from vastly different parts of the country and setting them up for a lifetime with each other.
