The Manhattan-Ogden school board on Wednesday will hear a preliminary enrollment data report and vote on a key step for construction at the Keith Noll Maintenance Center.
The board will meet at 6:30 p.m. at the Robinson Education Center, 2031 Poyntz Ave.
Eric Reid, assistant superintendent, said he’ll present the board with rough numbers on start of the year enrollment. Those numbers won’t be available until the board meeting, he said.
“We still have a lot of kids who have moved over the summer and are still in our system, so my numbers don’t make a lot of sense based on what’s in the computer and who’s in the seats,” Reid said.
The district’s official enrollment numbers won’t come until after Sept. 20, the day the district makes its official headcount.
District officials are also asking the board to approve a $287,000 metal building package for the Keith Noll Maintenance Center ahead of the rest of the project. By bidding the metal structure out earlier, the district can enter a metal building fabricator’s process earlier and stay within the project timeline.
The board will also hear a summary of the donations and grants the district received during the 2018-19 school year. Donations totaled $343,000 last school year, and grants totaled $285,000.
